Quote Goodies

Quotes! What's NOT to love about them?

"I’m not upset that you lied to me, I’m upset that from now on I can’t believe you. "

— Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes, but you don’t dwell on it. You don’t let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space. "

— Johnny Cash

"Bad things are always going to happen in life. People will hurt you. But you can’t use that as an excuse to fail or to hurt someone back. You’ll only hurt yourself. "

— Unknown

"I didn’t ask for it to be over. But then again I didn’t ask for it to begin. For that’s the way it is with life, as some of the most beautiful days come completely by chance. But even the most beautiful days eventually have their sunset."

If You're Happy and You Know It - Clap Your Hands!

Hi!!! Happy Thursday! I have to say that I think Thursday is my favorite day. I love them all, but Thursdays are just....delightful and delicious. haha.

A website that I found online made me laugh:

http://www.catswhothrowupgrass.com/kill.php

It doesn't have anything to do with a cat throwing up grass. And to be honest, that is a really random name. But in a way, I think I like it. :)

I think I put too much pressure on myself to write something smart or clever or witty, but sometimes...I'm not. I think I have acting "fine" down to an art. I'm really good at seeing the positive things in life...and generally, that's my personality, so when I'm not feeling that way, I have the tendency to put on a smile anyway. I am usually the listener and support!!

I'm glad that I have a place to vent now!! :)

Was that too personal?

Happy Monday

There are so many people out there that choose to feel Mondays are horrible and a day that will, continuously, cause more and more grief as the day goes on. And sure, some Mondays I feel that way, but I mostly feel like Monday is the beginning of a new week. It's as if you could basically wipe the slate free from the previous week and start anew. I like that :)

Today, I start work at 12:00p and then I'm heading out to work out! I'm loving the feeling that I am getting from stretching and working my body out. I feel so energized after I'm done and with the weather getting nicer, I can't wait to go outside and do more things with Marley. (My dog). He's a crazy standard poodle that I got two years ago with my boyfriend. He's the smartest animal I've ever met. And yes, he uses it to his advantage, daily. Eh, more like minute by minute.

On a totally seperate note! hahaha
I decided I'm going to try to put a link daily to some random website that I found and totally dig :) Hope you like it.

www.etsy.com

This is such a cool website because it offers vintage, off the wall, creative things to buy, use, create, and oogle over. Check it out and let me know. I'm sure a bunch of you have already heard of it...

Peace and Love,

Our Deepest Fear

Hi! I'm Amy. New to Blogspot. :)
Can't wait to spend countless hours and hours on here!!

I thought that I would start this off with one of the most impactful poems I've ever read. The Book is called, "A Return to Love," and was written by Marianne Williamson.

Our Deepest Fear....

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, "who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?"
Actually, who are we not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not in some of us; it's in everyone.
And when we let our own light shine.
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others.

Well said!!! That's all for now!!!

Peace and Love,

Amy
